Community Living is a simple concept; most of us experience it every day. We live in integrated communities, we work with our peers, and our children go to school with their neighbourhood friends. The benefits of Community Living are real and measurable.

A community is a group or society, helping each other and who shares common values. In community living, both freedom and security may exist as well.

Community living is influenced primarily by the family, through which children first learn community norms. Effective communication practices are of primary importance to the formation and maintenance of communities.

Morgan Scott Peck an American psychiatrist and best-selling author, of the book, The Road Less Traveled, published in 1978, expresses the virtues of community living in the following way: “There can be no vulnerability without risk; there can be no community without vulnerability; there can be no peace, and ultimately no life, without community“.

At Green Leaves we advocate a sense of cooperation and community living for the betterment of the society as a whole. We suggest the following self disciplines to be followed for peaceful coexistence among the apartment members.

Educate children and inculcate a culture of preservation by advising them not to write on walls using crayons, pencils or chalk which are mostly non-erasable and require new painting.
Educate servants, habitual pan users not to spit on corners of stairs or through the windows
Please do not write on elevator walls or scratch using keys/or coins etc
Please do not exert force on toughened glass partitions or stain it with greasy or oily hands as it poses a major challenge to cleanse it later.
Scratching glass, even it is toughened, can be a major risk factor for a future breaking of glass through the same harmless scratch as glass is ,physically a super cooled liquid and a separation marked on it goes to memory for a future break-up
Drivers, servants and maids, must report at designated work stations or area. Loitering, talking unnecessarily inside apartment premises etc must be strictly discouraged
If you find the lights are on, you can switch it off yourself and don't wait until maintenance department to do the same. Conserve Energy.
Please make sure that not only your home but the area surrounding it too is kept clean.
Please use the lifts judiciously.
Be courteous to the elderly and help them in their need.

DOORS

Your doors are made of high quality wood with multiple coats of melamine/wood coat and polyurethane coating to offer you years of superior service – A small amount of care from you can extend its life for many a more years keeping its strength and wonderful aesthetics,

Wax the doors periodically, suggested to wax it at least once in 12 months.
Apply a thin coat of wax over the entire door one area at a time in a linear movement.
Allow to dry for 15 minutes and rub the surface with slight pressure to shine.
The doors might be cleansed with a dry cloth before wax application.
Oil the hinges and locks using synthetic lubricants-Gun oils are an excellent lubricator for this purpose. Under no circumstance vegetable/edible oils should be used.
Periodical waxing of interiors portion of toilets doors and bottom surface of toilet doors will enhance the life of our toilet doors.

WINDOWS

If made of woods, same care as of doors applies to windows as well.

UPVC Windows: UPVC stands for un-plasticized vinyl Chloride; A tough variety of polyvinyl compound used for making these doors and windows with steel reinforcements inside ;Green Leaves uses only state of the art, internationally reputed makers of UPVC doors and windows with co- extruded rubber linings. These windows and doors are guaranteed for 10 years but normally last for a very long period with a small care.

Clean with a dry cloth, dust of the profiles thoroughly and with warm water, wipe the profiles.
After this clean the profile and the frames with a mild shampoo diluted in water and wipe.
Cleanse the glass using glass cleaning shampoos.
Always clean glass as the final step.
Lubricate the hinges with gun lubricant (available in arms dealer stores or general stores). Never use edible oils for lubricating purpose at all.
The door handles and levers need no pressure to operate like a conventional window/ doors levers and may damage by exerting extra pressure, also while closing, close gently - forceful action can damage your windows or UPVC windows / doors.

TAPS /FAUCETS

Use a touch of shampoo and cloth,alternatively,try rubbing with a 50-50 mixture of white vinegar and alcohol-if the faucets still look dull,always use a chrome polisher.

SINKS

The sinks used in your homes are of high quality imported or domestically manufactured using high grade steel and is expected to offer years of service.

CLOSETS

The European water closets will essential have a water dispensing unit,and for all Green Leaves homes, we use only external hold,it is highly recommended to use self cleansing,antimicrobial tablets which you can introduce into the cistern which will deliver a wash effect for every flush keeping the closet fresh and microbe free at all times.

CIRCUIT BREAKERS

Depending on projects, the make can be different but the quality is consistent. At the moment, the projects under construction uses state of the art PANASONIC MCB’S with indicators.

PHASE SELECTOR

Green Leaves uses L&T phase selectors with a 3 phase power supply. This device is a state of art engineering, and care must be taken not to switch all 3 phases in to one, that is, always keep at least one phase not in line with rest of two.

PARKING AREAS

Please respect your neighbour and his right of individual space by not using any other space other than earmarked for you and do not park your vehicle in tandem or projecting out of your space blocking the movement of other vehicles.
